"..so BE lonely."
"How beautiful is it to live in a world where nothing lasts forever. We must learn to fall in love with the love inside us, only then every moment living will be worth dying for." - r.m. drake. |
Everyday we are getting older. The older we get, the less thing matter and what matters the most are not the things. If you try to stare at the centre of the universe, there is a coldness there. A blankness. Ultimately, the universe doesn`t care about us. Time doesn`t care about us. That`s why we have to care about each other.
But, no matter where you`re at in life, give your life to Allah and live all out for Him. It is the best decision you`ll ever make. Joy is not the absence of suffering. It is the presence of Him. You`re totally wrong if you think joy emanates only or principally from human relationships cause He has placed it all around us. It is in everything and anything we might experience. We just have to have the courage to turn our habitual lifestyle and engage in unconventional living.
And if you try to look for love, don`t look for it in faces or places. It`s in you, that`s where you`ll find kindness.
"When I get lonely these days, I think: So BE lonely. Learn your way around loneliness. Make a map of it. Sit with it, for once in your life. Welcome to the human experience. But never again use another person’s body or emotions as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings. Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions. You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select what clothes you're gonna wear every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control. Drop everything else but that. Because if you can't learn to master your thinking, you're in deep trouble forever." - eat, pray, love.
"Why impress others with how 'perfect' your life is? Instead, share with them how you cope with imperfections. that makes you more credible." - mufti menk
