On reading.

"One of my favourite thing to read is lesser known writers. The old dusty book you stumble upon at a library, the one you’ve found at a thrift store, the one you spend hours looking for at a bookstore wanting to find something that you know nothing about, the one that you find locally published, the one with less than 7 reviews on goodreads, the one you can’t seem to find anyone talking about. I don’t know why but these are my most cherished reads, the ones that end up inspiring me the most. I am an advocate for the underdog, or the ones who fall in between the cracks of all of writers who get a lot of marketing behind them, in between the super popular ones. Maybe I also feel like one of the artists that will slip between the cracks because it’s just not possible for every artist to be the next (insert big artist here) it’s a lopsided world we live in of course and there will always be cracks and people falling in them. But looking for the cracks and finding all the gems in them is like going gold digging, so maybe it’s better that way anyway."

What I’m saying is to go digging for the ones which are or have produced great work but have been ignored and forgotten.
